Lawler-Condit-1

Still hunting for New Year’s plans or looking to ditch the ones you have?  Why not spend the holiday with some of the most feared names in the UFC in a lively town known for its nightlife?  UFC 195 is shaping up to be a can’t-miss event…especially if you arrive a day before the weigh-ins to enjoy all the New Year’s Eve festivities that Vegas has to offer!  Read on for just a handful of the many reasons you should be at UFC 195 in Las Vegas for New Year’s weekend.

The Fight Card

Robbie “Ruthless” Lawler heads up the main card, defending his welterweight title against hungry No. 4 contender Carlos “The Natural Born Killer” Condit.  Lawler has four wins in a row to his name, the second-longest active streak in the welterweight division, and hopes to collect yet another scalp in UFC 195.  If he really wants to keep his belt, though, he’ll have to make it past the man who has finished five out of his last six victories with a technical knockout: Condit.  Will we be ringing in a new welterweight champ along with the New Year?

In the co-main event, No. 3 Stipe Miocic ought to be pretty evenly matched against No. 4 Andrei “Pit Bull” Arlovski.  Arlovski is a former UFC heavyweight champ, and after returning to the Octagon in 2014, he’s earned four consecutive victories against a slew of worthy heavyweight competitors.  Miocic soundly defeated Mark Hunt back in May and hopes to prove himself as deserving of the next heavyweight title shot.  Will he have enough momentum to stop the roll that Arlovski has been on for more than a year?

It's Vegas

Do you need any other reason?!  If you’ve ever been to the city, you already know why everyone says that “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”  Want to know what Las Vegas has to say about spending New Year’s Eve in their quaint little town?  See below.

We can sum up New Year's Eve in Las Vegas in one word: Crazy.  And we mean crazy in a good way.  The entire Strip is shut down to traffic and it becomes like one giant block party for you and 300,000 of your closest drinking buddies.  At midnight, the casinos launch a choreographed fireworks display that makes the Times Square ball drop look like child's play.  Inside, the showrooms rock with the hottest entertainment and the nightclubs are packed with celebrities and partygoers who are dressed to impress.

Las-Vegas-NightlifeBe sure to check out Vegas’ dedicated page on how to celebrate the New Year.  So let’s map out your itinerary – Thursday night: New Year’s Eve.  Friday: reserved seats to the Fighter Q&A and Weigh-Ins as well as a Backstage Behind-the-Scenes Tour.  Friday night: go out on the town or take a break from the action to rest up for Saturday.  Saturday: the excitement gets rolling with a UFC Octagon Tour, photo op with the championship belt and of course, the Ultimate Fighting Championship goes down.

The Seats

How else can you get this close to the action?  Choose an Owner's Section package to ensure reserved seating in the P1 Floor, right in front of the Octagon.  You'll be closer to the action than ever before with an opportunity to watch among celebrities, UFC fighters and legends and other VIP guests hosted by the UFC. This is truly the ultimate VIP experience, allowing you to take in all of the UFC action the same way the owners do!
