I guess you could say the Main Card for UFC 205 is stacked. Stacked may even be an understatement. It’s loaded with so many good fights – we can barely keep up.

UFC 205 is special, and we expected to have one heck of a card lined up. After all, this is the first UFC event in New York since MMA was legalized. Thankfully, the UFC did not disappoint on this one. The card pretty much has every fighter we expected to see at an event like this.

There are three title defenses on the card. Yes, THREE. Considering how often the belt has been swapping hands this year, we are really excited to see how these three fights go down. We’ve definitely learned that anything can happen in the UFC, which is what keeps us coming back for more, fight after fight.

Title Fights

Does it really come as a surprise that McGregor would once again be headlining? I think we all saw this coming; we just weren’t quite sure who he would match up against. Several names came up including Eddie Alvarez and even Jose Aldo. But it looks like we will see another jump in weight class for McGregor as he seeks to add another belt to his collection – this time in the lightweight division.

Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson is a nice addition to the card as Woodley will look to defend his Welterweight title for the first time. We also have another title fight happening between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz. Jedrzejczyk has held on to the Strawweight title for quite some time now. This will be her fourth title defense since she first won the title in March of 2015 against Carla Esparza.

On a side note, I knew Weidman had to be added to the card at some point. After all, he was one of the leading fighters to get MMA legalized in New York. Which fight are you most excited about?
