3 Reasons Why You Need To Be At UFC 183

UFCWith UFC® 182 happening mere weeks before UFC® 183, same town, same venue, featuring Jon Jones putting his title on the line against Daniel Cormier, it’s hard to imagine that anything could take the spotlight away from that event.

Enter in: UFC® 183. #TheTimeIsNow

A UFC® event’s tagline has never been more appropriate. The night is designed with epic matchup, after epic matchup, culminating in the ultimate return event for two of the  UFC’s biggest and brightest stars. While UFC VIP Experiences for UFC® 183 have been on sale for some time, as of today tickets will be available for the general public.

If there’s even a single doubt in your mind as to why to attend, read on for three reasons why you need to be in Vegas for this one!

1) A Thrilling Comeback

If you’ve been without TV and internet allow me to fill you in: Anderson Silva will be facing Nick Diaz as the night’s main event. (Insert Dramatic Pause Here)

In other words, it’s a BIG freaking deal.

Silva, undeniably one of the best to ever step foot in the Octagon™ was handed two losses by Chris Weidman after sustaining the UFC’s longest title defense streak. In addition to losing his middleweight title, he also suffered one of the sport’s most gruesome injuries with a broken left fibula and tibia. The injury left him sidelined for over a year and he will be making his highly anticipated return against Diaz. (Also, have you seen? He's training with Jonny "Bones" Jones. Yeah.)

Nick Diaz has had a well documented history within, and outside, the UFC®. Extensively trained, extremely talented, and with the heart of a lion, Diaz has been away from fighting and the UFC® since March 2013, when he lost via UD to Georges St-Pierre. There have been rumblings and rumors throughout the past, almost, two years, that he would return but nothing ever materialized. Finally, he returns against the Spider in a matchup that sets the winner up for a shot at the title.

Regardless of who’s hand is held when the night is over, MMA fans everywhere are in for one of the best fights of the year.

2) Women’s Bantamweight In the Spotlight

The UFC’s only female champion has a stronghold on her title, however Ronda Rousey is not the only talented fighter in her weight class.

Right at the top of the women’s BW division sit’s #2 Miesha Tate and #3 Sara McMann. Both have fought and lost to “Rowdy” Rousey, but fans should be beyond excited by this matchup. Tate has won her last two coming into 183, and McMann added a win to her record with a recent split decision victory.

Either way, this would be a big win for either of these top contenders, and for MMA fans!

3) It’s An Awesome Card

There’s the co-main event featuring Tyron Woodley and Kelvin Gastelum and then there’s the rest of the card:
