3 Reasons UFC 184 is a Must-See

Posted by Rory Harris on Jan 12, 2015 9:00:00 AM

As unpredictable fights and solid match-ups go, UFC® 184 is one of the best cards of the year and a must-see for any fighting fan.

The stacked card will feature Ronda Rousey defending her bantamweight title against Cat Zingano.

Here are four of the many reasons you will not want to miss one of the biggest nights in UFC®:

  1. Will Royalty Be Dethroned?

The reigning queen of the UFC®, Ronda Rousey, is a long with-standing champions.

Rousey has yet to be beat. The female bantamweight champion is the only female champion and has been since she burst onto the scene in 2012, as the first female fighter to sign with the UFC®.

Rousey have become UFC® royalty. The world is waiting to see who will be the first to dethrone them. The more reserved Weidman and attention-grabbing Rousey are two of the UFC®’s best pound-for-pound fighters.

  2. Ronda Rousey RightCat Fight

The undefeated Zingano will be given her chance to dethrone the unbeatable Rousey in the Octagon™.

Zingano, who has endured physical and personal setbacks since signing with the UFC® in 2013, may be the first real match for Rousey.

Rousey has been quoted as  claiming ZIngano may be  her “riskiest opponent yet."  Fans  cannot wait to see this  cat fight.

  1. Holm’s Long- Awaited Debut

Former professional boxer and welterweight champion, Holly Holm, will finally make her UFC® on Feb. 28.

Holm is a potential rival for the reigning Rousey and fans have speculated UFC® President, Dana White, has been grooming the “Preacher’s Daughter” to become a future Rousey opponent.

Although Holm has just begun learning MMA in the past few years, her history in professional women’s boxing will most likely make her a formidable rival for Rousey or any fighter who may finally be able to beat Rousey.

Holm was originally set to meet Raquel Pennington in the Octagon™ at UFC® 181, but she had to pull out due to injury during training. Pennington fought Ashlee Evans-Smith and won by a cringe-worthy submission in the first round.
