Four Reasons to Attend UFC® 210

There’s no denying that Cormier vs Johnson 2 has been one of the most anticipated rematches in UFC history. This historic battle will go down in Buffalo, New York for the first time in over 20 years. Light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will face No.1 Anthony Johnson for the second time in the Octagon® and we’re thrilled to be there. Chris Weidman will also be on hand to face Gegard Mousasi to fight for the right to a title fight. This is a matchup you can’t miss and here’s why.

  1. Daniel Cormier

He’s incredible, need I say more? This 18-1 fighter out of San Jose, California is unstoppable. He will most certainly go down as one of the greatest combat athletes in history. This demigod is a two-time Olympian, NCAA Div. 1 All-American in wrestling, and has reigned as a champion in every promotion he’s competed in. He’s looking to solidify himself among the greats with another win over Johnson.

  1. Hometown Hero

Chris Weidman returns home for this fight to set the stage for a championship bout. The No. 4-ranked fighter Weidman has become the face of MMA in New York and for great reason. Weidman is 13-2 in the UFC and he’s looking for a title. This fight could be his shot at making bigger moves. He’s a decorated jiu-jitsu fighter who packs a punch. His ability to finish a fight on his feet or by submission will come in handy during this bout.

  1. UFC® in New York

It has been over twenty years since a UFC fight has taken place in Buffalo, New York. Since the ban against MMA has been lifted, the UFC has tried its best to bring as many events to the state as possible. So far we’ve had the biggest fight in history at Madison Square Garden and a historic bout in the women’s division across the bridge in Brooklyn at Barclays Center.  This is an opportunity for the fans in upstate New York to see some UFC action.

  1. Additional Fights
  • 14 light heavyweight and NCAA Div. 1 All-American wrestler Patrick Cummins vs dangerous finisher, No. 15 Jan Blachowicz
  • Surging welterweight No. 11 Kamaru Usman vs heavy-hitting Sean Strickland
  • Two of the women’s bantamweight division’s up and coming stars Katlyn Chookagian vs Irene Aldana
  • Undefeated upstate New Yorker Shane Burgos vs submission ace Charles Rosa in a featherweight showdown
