The biggest fight in a continent's history is taking place at UFC 243.
On October 6, UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker will defend his 185-pound crown against Interim Champion Israel Adesanya at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
A record-breaking attendance number is expected as the Australian champion faces a Kiwi challenger on home turf.
With anticipation through the roof, this will be the most in-demand ticket throughout the entire UFC calendar year.
Here are the best options to purchase a ticket to UFC 243.
UFC 243 Official Ticket Package
The UFC VIP Experience is the Official Ticket Package program of the UFC and will be publicly on sale with UFC 243 tickets before anyone else.
Official Ticket Packages for UFC 243 are on sale as of August 1 and are the only official source offering tickets before the general UFC public on-sale date of August 16.
UFC 243 packages include premium seating options at Marvel Stadium, pre-fight hospitality, meet-and-greets with current and former UFC fighters, access to the ceremonial pre-fight weigh-ins and much more!
UFC Fight Club
UFC Fight Club is a membership-based service that offers pre-sale ticket access for select UFC events to its Ultimate membership tier.
The Ultimate Fight Club membership costs $85 and gives members first access to purchase up to eight tickets per event for up to 18 UFC events per year.
Other benefits of a UFC Fight Club membership include exclusive merchandise, Premium Forum community access and other insider perks.
UFC 243 Public On Sale
The UFC 243 public on-sale is scheduled to begin on August 16 on UFC.com. For an event of this caliber that is expecting record-breaking attendance numbers, it's guaranteed that tickets will fly once these tickets become available. While this doesn't mean that you won't be able to secure tickets this way, it does leave a lot up to chance.
But if you prefer a general admission ticket over an Official Ticket Package and don't want to pay the UFC Fight Club membership fee, the public on sale is the route to take.
If you miss out on the UFC 243 public on sale and don't want to opt for an Official Ticket Package, you will have to test the secondary market. While vendors like StubHub, VividSeats, Ticketmaster and others will have tickets available, the prices will be subject to heavy inflation due to a general scarcity as the event gets closer.
Frankly, the secondary market should be a last resort unless you’re planning to attend UFC 243 last minute. Not only are the above options going to result in better seating options and more fair pricing, but the secondary market can’t offer the guarantee or authenticity that comes when purchasing from the UFC VIP Experience or UFC.com.
